Q1 What is an ASP?

As an Application Service Provider (ASP), Revel Medical Billing is hosts your software from a centralized data center. You access it over a secure Internet connection. While there are several different types of ASPs, Revel Medical Billing’s solutions are truly web-based, delivered over the Internet, with no additional software or hardware required.

Q4 What kind of equipment do I need?

There’s a good chance you already have the infrastructure in place to run our products. If not, the requirements are minimal compared to a traditional client server windows application or an ASP running on terminal services. Read the requirements page for details.

Q5 How much does it cost?

REVEL Medical Billing’s pricing model is meant to be very competitive. Other than our minimal one-time software licensing fee, your only up-front expenses are…NONE! Our fee structure is based on a percentage of your practice’s Accounts Receivables. We don’t make money unless you make money! The one-time license fee includes support, maintenance, updates/upgrades, data backup and storage, electronic claims submission, and system access for unlimited users from anywhere.

Q6 Who owns my data?

You do. Revel Medical Billing is simply a steward of your data. If at any time you require a copy of your raw account data, we will provide it to you.

Q7  Is my data backed up?

Absolutely! Revel Medical Billing’s secure servers automatically back up your data every 15 minutes. In addition, our redundant database servers are in place, adding another layer of confidence , as well as a daily off - site backup.

Q8  Is Revel's system HIPAA compliant?

Revel Medical Billing’s solutions are “HIPAA Ready.” We use the term HIPAA Ready instead of “compliant” because the ultimate determination of compliance resides with how the system is implemented and used in your practice. Please see our HIPAA page for more information.

Q11 How long will the system take to implement?

Going “live” with Revel Medical Billing takes approximately 1 to 2 days from the time the contract is signed. This includes the time necessary to build your practice database and train users.

Q12 Will the software be compatible with my current software?

The short answer is “no.” We are experts in our system and cannot guarantee full functionality with any other software. But rest assured, our software is so intuitive and easy to learn, you and your staff will be up and running in no time — and you’ll probably wonder how you ever survived without it!

Q13 If I hire you, what are you going to do with all my current billings?

Any outstanding bills you have will be enter ed into the system for you. We’ll even audit your entire Accounts Receivable to ensure everything gets into our system and nothing is overlooked.
